I have been thinking again about the story from the Gospel of John where Jesus feeds over 5000 people with nothing more than five loaves of bread and two small fish. In particular I have been drawn to the attitudes of the people in the story. Philip’s attitude was, “It can’t be done!” He didn’t believe that Jesus could do it. As far as he was concerned there was no way they were going to feed all those hungry people. Andrew’s attitude was more like, “It might be possible… but I can’t see how.” I think he wanted to believe that they could do something for the hungry people… but couldn’t see how it might be done. The small boy on the other hand had a completely different attitude. He gave all that he had to Jesus, so that Jesus could make the impossible possible.
What does this little boy teach us about God? That with Him, small things can become big, a few things can become much and a little faith can be used by God to do great things. As we continue to gather around us a team of partners, people like yourselves, we see more and more how true this is. Yes, there is long way to go… but we know that God is good and faithful and generous. Will you continue to pray about how you might help us to serve His Kingdom through YMA.
Many people have been asking us, “What is you most pressing need?” At this stage, what we need most are partners who can support us on a monthly basis. We would love to hear from you if you think this might be you. Every little bit helps and God has an amazing way of multiplying that which is given in faith from the heart.
Our Role >
As fulltime missionaries with CCCA, our role will be to help YMA to achieve its vision of seeing…
…a growing movement of students and practitioners multiplying their influence;
empowered and released by their local churches to share God's love amongst the unchurched youth of our Nation and beyond.
Our primary area of influence will include the Perth metropolitan area, country and regional churches within Western Australia and nationally where required. In order to achieve this, our role will involve…
As a family, we are committed to seeing how God might work through us to help make a difference in the lives of many. To this end, we would like to invite you to consider how you might partner with us. Consistent with the calling of the broader Campus Crusade for Christ missionary movement, all Youth Ministries Australia field workers are required to raise up a team of dedicated ministry partners who will commit to regularly give prayer and financial support, thus enabling a lasting Kingdom impact in God’s harvest field.
When they had all had enough to eat, Jesus said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted." So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
John 6: 12-13
Partnership Options >
There are a number of ways that you are able to partner with us. The first, and most important, is by becoming a prayer partner. We will keep you up-to-date on what is happening through our monthly newsletter.
Second to this, you might like to consider becoming a financial partner. Ideally, this would involve a commitment to supporting us on a monthly basis, but there are other options available.
Thirdly, you might just like to receive our monthly newsletter. Who knows, at some point down the track, you might be able to help in some other way.
If you would like more information on how you can partner with us, please email or call us and we will get in contact with you.
